Conister Bank is pleased to welcome Kin Man Liu to the team as Head of Projects
Why Conister?
I have always heard great things about Conister, in particular about the ethos towards customers and how the staff enjoy the workplace. I was very impressed when I read that Conister was supporting the Government schemes across the Isle of Man and UK throughout the pandemic which really crystalises the type of Bank it is. The opportunity to work at Conister will be challenging but exciting as I will be fundamental to the digital drive and growth aspirations. It’s a place where I most certainly believe I will be a natural fit.
Tell me a little about your journey so far?
My working career started at Zurich Financial Services where I spent several years in administration before moving into Business/Systems analysis. I then decided to enhance my skill set in this area by studying Software Engineering at Liverpool John Moore’s University. After graduating with a First-Class degree, I joined IFG international in 2012 (which later became First Name Group following an MBO and more recently IQ-EQ). During my time there, I was involved in many successful strategic projects and progressed up to senior management level.
What interests do you have outside work?
Spending time with my family, walks with the dogs, and going to the gym.
What is your greatest achievement?
Renovating my house whilst balancing the demands of a family and working full time.
What challenges are you looking forwards to within your new role?
There are many strategic projects planned for 2021 and beyond so I am looking forward to balancing and delivering several projects concurrently. I am joining at a time where technology will drive growth and profits for all businesses within the financial services sector. Conister has some very exciting and challenging projects in relation to the digitalisation of their customer's experience and so although this brings challenges to my new role I am very excited to be part of the delivery.
