Conister Trust declares Royal Manx Agricultural Show a success
Hundreds of people entered Conister Trust's free raffle at the 2009 Royal Manx Agricultural Show, and this week the three lucky winners received their prizes.
The gourmet hampers, containing a selection of Isle of Man produce, were won by Mrs H Skillicorn, Peel, Matthew Quayle, Onchan and Chris Perry – founder of Ballagale Boarding Cattery, Port St Mary, who is pictured with his family receiving his prize from Simon Ripton, Conister Trust's Head of Sales & Marketing.
Mr Ripton said: "The glorious weather brought out the visitors in number, many of whom took the opportunity to enter our prize draw. The response was a fantastic, aided by our partners at the Joey Dunlop Foundation with whom we shared a stand at the show. The charity sold hundreds of raffle tickets during the show and, with Conister adding an additional 10% to the money that was raised, over £1,000 was added to the Joey Dunlop Foundation's fund."
"The Manx Agricultural Show is a great way for us to get out into the community which we have been serving since 1935. As the Island's only independent bank it's important that we meet with our customers in their communities to understand how we can help their businesses and them individually."
