New Head of Risk and Compliance for Conister Bank.
Chartered Accountant Steven Quayle has joined Conister Bank as Associate Director and Head of Risk and Compliance.
Steven, whose most recent position was Finance Director for private bank Duncan Lawrie (IOM) Limited, brings to MFG a formidable level of expertise which will help the Group both to maintain its stature and achieve its strategic goals.
Steven graduated from Loughborough University in 2003 with a First Class degree in Chemistry, after which he returned to the Isle of Man to train as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. In 2007, he joined a Corporate Service Provider as a Client Accountant before moving to Duncan Lawrie. Here, he progressed from Financial Controller to Finance Director, joining the bank's Board in 2012.
Steven comments, "My main areas of focus in my professional life over the last decade have been risk management, compliance, finance, corporate governance and strategic development. This has left me well-placed to take on the responsibilities, opportunities and challenges which will be part of my new role.
"My key responsibility will be the successful delivery of the Compliance and Risk function at Conister andacross the Group. I am looking forward to developing a framework which is strategically focused in its nature, and enables the Group to achieve solid growth. I am very happy to have joined Conister Bank, and am passionate about we can achieve as a team".

Outside of work, Steven enjoys badminton: as well as playing for the Isle of Man county and League 1 teams, he is a Level 1 qualified coach. He also plays squash and golf. He has two young children, Charlotte and Harry.
